About this policy
This policy explains your rights when you buy goods as a consumer from our website at www.werewolfbeer.com or directly from our premises. Different change-of-mind rules apply to online purchases and purchases made in person.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or any other applicable consumer law.
Online purchases and change of mind
For most goods bought through our website, you may cancel your order without giving a reason. You must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.
If one order is delivered in separate consignments or on different days, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which the last item is received.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must send the goods back within a further 14 days.
Beer and other alcoholic drinks
We do not normally accept change-of-mind returns for beer or other alcoholic drinks purchased at our premises.
For purchases made online, customers may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their order. This right will normally apply to unopened, shelf-stable cans and bottles.
We do not offer voluntary change-of-mind returns for beer or other drinks that have been opened or partly consumed. Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop. For opened or partly consumed products, this deduction may be up to the full purchase price if the product can no longer be resold.
This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or unfit for purpose.
Items excluded from change-of-mind cancellation
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to:
• goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
• goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, including any fresh or short-life product that meets this legal test; or
These exclusions do not affect your rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or unfit for purpose.
Condition of change-of-mind returns
You may inspect and handle goods only as you reasonably would in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Please take reasonable care of them and, where possible, return them with their original packaging, tags, accessories and any promotional items supplied with them.
Original packaging is not an absolute condition of your right to cancel. However, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.
Faulty damaged or incorrect goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item is faulty, damaged in transit, not as described, unfit for purpose or not the item you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or unfit for purpose, your statutory rights are not affected. For visible damage, leakage or an incorrect delivery, please contact us within 24 hours where possible and send photographs of the product and packaging. This helps us investigate your claim but does not affect your legal rights.
We will pay reasonable return costs for goods confirmed or reasonably claimed to be faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or unfit for purpose. We may ask for proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation, receipt, bank statement or other evidence that the item was bought from us.
How to cancel or request a return
Email sales@werewolfbeer.com with your name, order number, the item or items concerned and a clear statement that you wish to cancel or return them. For a fault or delivery problem, please describe the issue and attach photographs where possible. We will provide the return address and any packaging or carrier instructions needed for the goods. Because beer, liquids and glass may be subject to carrier restrictions, please contact us before posting them. This does not prevent you from exercising your right to cancel.
Please obtain and keep proof of posting until your return has been completed.
Return postage
For a change-of-mind cancellation, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. This information should also be shown to you before you place your order.
We will cover reasonable return costs where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or unfit for purpose. Please follow the return method we provide; if you arrange a more expensive method without agreeing it with us first, we may reimburse only a reasonable standard return cost.
Refunds
Online Purchases
For a valid cancellation of an online purchase, we will refund the price paid and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we will not refund the additional amount above the standard delivery cost. If you return only part of an order, the original delivery charge may not be refundable.
We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day we receive the goods back or, if earlier, the day you provide evidence that you sent them back. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of return.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not be charged a fee for the refund.
Any lawful deduction for diminished value will be explained to you. We will not make a deduction merely because packaging has been opened where opening it was reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.
Purchases made at our premises
There is no automatic legal right to return an item bought in person simply because you change your mind, unless we agreed otherwise at the time of purchase. Any voluntary exchange or store credit we offer for an in-person change-of-mind return is at our discretion and may be subject to conditions stated at the time.
This does not affect your statutory rights if goods bought at our premises are faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose.
Exchanges and store credit
We may offer an exchange or store credit where you request it or as part of a voluntary returns arrangement. We will not substitute an exchange or store credit for a refund or another remedy to which you are legally entitled unless you agree to it.
